About the Role
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Production Lead to join a fast-paced food manufacturing site based in Southall. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take a step up into leadership or further develop their supervisory experience within a well-established operation. The role involves supporting the daily running of production lines, supervising a team of operatives, and maintaining performance and quality standards. Youll also provide critical cover when Shift Managers are on annual leave or unavailable stepping into full supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and support a team of production operatives during your shift
· Ensure production lines meet daily output targets and run efficiently
· Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance (HACCP/BRC)
· Provide shift reports and communicate effectively with other departments
· Cover Shift Manager duties as required, taking responsibility for people, performance, and problem-solving
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
About You
· Previous experience in food production or FMCG manufacturing
· Strong understanding of food safety and health & safety protocols
· Experience supervising or leading teams on the shop floor
· Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach
· Able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to shift cover needs when required
