The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Engineering Supervisor to join the team. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations within a busy press shop and wider manufacturing areas, ensuring efficiency, quality, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise production activities across the press shop and wider engineering areas.
  • Manage, motivate, and support a skilled workforce to meet production targets.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality across all operations.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities to keep targets on track.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process development.
  • Use production and reporting systems to monitor progress and communicate effectively.
  • Hands-on involvement with machinery and operations, supporting the team as needed.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, ideally within a press shop.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team.
  • Practical knowledge of press brakes, band saws, chop saws, CNC, and conventional lathes.
  • FLT licence preferred but not essential.
  • Confident with computer-based systems for reporting, planning, and communication.
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with a drive to meet production targets and support business growth.
