About the Company

A leading manufacturer of electrical control panels is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join its team.

Reporting & Role

Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will oversee panel production operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery in line with technical specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of panel builders and wirers to deliver production targets
• Review electrical schematics, drawings, and BOMs to ensure build accuracy
• Drive process improvements to optimise throughput, quality, and cost efficiency
• Conduct in-process and final inspections in line with industry standards
• Liaise with design, procurement, and projects teams to resolve technical issues
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, ISO9001, and company standards

Skills & Experience

• Proven background in electrical panel manufacturing and team leadership
• In-depth understanding of control panel wiring, components, and production processes
• Ability to interpret complex technical documentation
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence

Qualifications

• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• HNC/HND in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
