A leading aerospace company in the UK is looking for a Production Engineer to oversee the industrialisation of design changes and product introductions. The ideal candidate will have a recognised engineering qualification and several years of experience with 3D CAD and CAM systems. Our UK facility is the European Maintenance Centre Hub for the SHE Group, performing level 1 to level 3 maintenance and repairs on complex helicopter engine components. What will I be doing?
The Production Engineer is required to complete the industrialisation of design changes or introduction of new products into Safran HE UK\u2019s new production activity, whilst providing on-going technical support to the existing product portfolio. The Production Engineer is responsible for the definition of all aspects of the production method including definition of manufacturing instructions, stage drawings, setting sheets, CNC programs, tools and gauges as required. The Production Engineer shall ensure all manufacturing is delivered to a robust quality standard and at the lowest total cost, whilst ensuring that the project actions / objectives / milestones are achieved on time, on budget, and in accordance with all customer and company requirements. The Production Engineer shall continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, work practices and take responsibility for implementation of improvement solutions.
