A leading aerospace company is seeking a Production Engineer in the UK to oversee industrialization of design changes and support existing products. Responsibilities include defining production methods, ensuring quality standards, and identifying process improvements. The successful candidate will have an engineering qualification and significant experience with CAD and CAM systems, alongside a driving commitment to quality and efficiency. Safran Helicopter Engines are the world's leading manufacturer of rotorcraft turbines and the only one dedicated exclusively to this market. Our UK facility is the European Maintenance Centre Hub for the SHE Group, performing level 1 to level 3 maintenance and repairs on complex helicopter engine components. Our experienced teams partner with our broad, global customer base, providing both technical expertise and broader support in both the fixed wing and rotary wing markets.
The Production Engineer is required to complete the industrialisation of design changes or introduction of new products into Safran HE UK's new production activity, whilst providing on-going technical support to the existing product portfolio.
The Production Engineer is responsible for the definition of all aspects of the production method including definition of manufacturing instructions, stage drawings, setting sheets, CNC programs, tools and gauges as required.
The Production Engineer shall ensure all manufacturing is delivered to a robust quality standard and at the lowest total cost, whilst ensuring that the project actions / objectives / milestones are achieved on time, on budget, and in accordance with all customer and company requirements.
The Production Engineer shall continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, work practices and take responsibility for implementation of improvement solutions.
