A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to work in Ponteland on a permanent basis. Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Production Engineer for a client of ours based in Ponteland on a permanent basis.

The Production Engineer will work Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm and Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm.

The Production Engineer will receive a salary up to £40k + Bonus.

The Production Engineer will be responsible for ensuring production of top quality electrical control panels. The Production Engineers main duties will include improving and implementing new manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for up to 15 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Engineer:
  • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring work is completed on time
  • Review technical drawings, wiring schematics, and specifications to guide accurate build processes
  • Conduct in process and final inspections
  • Manage workflow, allocate tasks, and manage resources
  • Assist with panel building tasks
  • Conduct regular reviews
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
  • Conduct regular 1:1's with your team and support their needs where required.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in electrical panel assembly and team supervision
  • Strong understanding of control panel wiring, components, and industry standards
  • Ability to interpret detailed electrical drawings and documentation
  • Problem Solving abilities
Desirable Qualifications of the Production Engineer:
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671
  • HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering
  • NVQ (#removed#) Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Installation, or Maintenance
  • C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 equipment & processes to meet required specifications
  • Full UK driving Licence
