Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Production Engineer in Oxford to take products from prototype builds through to production, working across manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing and continuous improvement.

You will build, assemble and test complex mechanical, electrical or optical systems, support the transition of products from prototype into production, troubleshoot manufacturing issues and create SOPs and production documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Mechanical, Electrical or Optical engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience with assembly, integration and testing.
• Creation and maintenance of SOPs and production documentation.
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding across manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 3D printing and managing parts/inventory.
• Experience working with suppliers and outsourced components.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in taking products from prototype builds through to production, working across manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

• Building, assembling and testing complex mechanical, electrical or optical systems
• Supporting the transition of products from prototype into production
• Troubleshooting, fault-finding and resolving manufacturing issues
• Creating and maintaining SOPs and production documentation
• Driving improvements across manufacturing processes, efficiency and quality
• Supporting 3D printing and managing parts and inventory
• Working with suppliers and outsourced components
• Production or manufacturing experience within a Mechanical, Electrical or Optical engineering environment
• Hands-on experience with assembly, integration and testing
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Experience working with complex hardware or technical products
• Someone proactive, practical and detail-oriented who enjoys solving problems
• Experience supporting the journey from prototype to production would be highly beneficial
