Overview

Our client is a leading design agency for the publishing industry based in rural Bedfordshire. Renowned for their exceptional quality and creative excellence across both print and digital resources, they are now seeking a Production Editor to join their Publishing Services team. This team plays a crucial role in supporting the studio with non-design tasks and ensuring the highest standards of output across all projects. The successful candidate will initially be based in the office at least 5 days a week during probation, with the opportunity for hybrid working in future.

Salary

£25k-£28k depending on experience

Location

Rural Bedfordshire (car essential unless close enough to cycle)

Holiday

20 days + bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per year to max 25 days + bank holidays

Hours

37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Proofreading designer output for editorial accuracy and carrying out editorial corrections
• Formatting text and images in Word
• Picture research and artwork commissioning
• Liaising with suppliers, tracking costs and timelines ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget
• Maintaining in-house quality control procedures and accurate time records using studio systems
• Using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel to an advanced level
