Are you an organised and proactive individual with a passion for audio production? Production coordinators are the glue that holds programme making together, and their work and influence touches every aspect of the lifecycle of a programme. They’re the team responsible for all the resources a programme needs – does it have the right budget, is money being spent in the most effective way, does it have the right team in the right place at the right time with the right paperwork (especially for complex location recordings), are we working in the most environmentally sustainable way possible, are copyright items cleared to be published on all our platforms and do programmes have all the metadata required attached to them to enable both audience and archive searchability?
BBC Audio’s creative teams produce 20,500 shows and make an extraordinary range of content. We're made up of 500+ colleagues who produce over 90 hours of content every single day. We supply programmes, podcasts and music for almost all of the BBC's radio networks and BBC Sounds. Radio 1's Breakfast Show with Greg James to Radio 4 favourites such as Woman’s Hour, You & Yours and The Archers are made by our teams. In Speech production, we create content across a wide range of specialist subjects. In Bristol, our output ranges from arts programmes such as Radio 4’s Soul Music to factual and topical output such as Farming Today and Any Questions?
Note: This role may require early morning and weekend working. It is based in Broadcasting House, Whiteladies Road, Bristol but travel and location work may be necessary, including during evenings and weekends.
