Job summary

BBC Introducing in Leeds offers a Production Assistant Apprenticeship (Level 3) for 13 months, with on‑the‑job learning and a path toward a recognised qualification. You will gain hands‑on experience across productions, with opportunities to work on live events and studio projects.

The scheme is aimed at non‑graduates and provides a competitive salary (£24,650 per year), 35‑hour weeks, and extensive training through the BBC Academy and external providers. Based at Leeds Broadcasting Centre.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Be 18+ by the apprenticeship start date.
• Non-graduate status (degree holders may apply to other schemes).
• Be resident in the UK for the last three years before start.

Responsibilities

• Research content and identify guests and participants.
• Assist on location, in studio, or in a TV gallery and on the studio floor.
• Learn to use cameras, sound, lighting and editing software.
• Create content for multiple platforms under guidance.
