Job summary

A leading broadcasting company in Greater London is seeking a Production Assistant to support its team. You will type and distribute scripts, organize travel arrangements, and assist cast and crew members. A college degree in Communications or Broadcasting is preferred, along with experience in a television newsroom. Strong writing and organizational skills are essential for success. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a television newsroom or as a production assistant preferred.
  • Technical ability with non-linear broadcast video editing equipment is a plus.

  • Organize travel arrangements for cast, crew and production executives.
  • Assist cast members and run errands for them.

Job description
  • Type, edit, copy and distribute scripts;
  • organize travel arrangements for cast, crew and production executives;
  • organize accommodation for cast and crew;
  • Type and distribute schedules, or call sheets;
  • Assist cast members, and at times running errands for them;
  • Run errands between the production office and other departments;
  • Deal with accounts and expenses
  • Keep track of timings during a program
  • Set up pre-recorded material in the studio
  • Make schedules, shot lists, logs and other paperwork for post-production.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • College Degree in Communications, Broadcasting or similar discipline preferred
  • Previous experience in a television newsroom as in intern or production assistant preferred
  • Good working knowledge of politics and current events
  • Strong writing ability and sound organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under intense deadlines and pressure
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Technical ability with non-linear broadcast video editing equipment a plus

Technical ability with HD camera equipment a plus
