Job summary

Coherent Corp is seeking a Production Assistant in Scotland to support our manufacturing operations through assembly, packing, and documentation. You will help ensure orders are prepared accurately, safely, and on time, with full training provided for the right candidate.

The role emphasizes hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and strong teamwork. Prior packing or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Performing final assembly activities in line with documented procedures.
  • Packing finished goods, accessories, and defective items accurately and efficiently.
  • Preparing customer orders for dispatch.
  • Processing and returning defective goods to suppliers in accordance with company procedures.
  • Inspecting incoming goods and assessing returned products.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation.
  • Ensuring all paperwork and system updates are completed to company standards.
  • Supporting quality, safety, and operational excellence across the department.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Working closely with colleagues to meet production and customer delivery requirements.

Production Assistant
The Role

Are you hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and looking to build a career within a manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Production Assistant to support our operations through assembly, inspection, packing, and documentation activities that help ensure products are delivered to customers safely, accurately, and on time.
