Job description

We're seeking an organised and proactive Production Administrator to join our client's team in Blantyre. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety – supporting both workshop and field operations, coordinating engineers, and ensuring projects run smoothly from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day‑to‑day support to the Production Director and Workshop team, assisting with scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of ongoing jobs.
  • Act as a key point of contact between customers, suppliers, and engineers – managing queries, site access, and service updates.
  • Coordinate field service engineer visits, including planning labour, preparing risk assessments and method statements, and processing reports on job completion.
  • Support with general office administration, job costing, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Help ensure compliance with company Health & Safety and Quality Management standards, contributing to ongoing improvements.
  • Respond to customer breakdowns and organise timely engineer support.
Key Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to liaise confidently across teams and with clients.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a practical approach to challenges.
  • Computer literate – comfortable with MS Office and general administrative systems.
  • Understanding of engineering or technical environments is beneficial but not essential.
