Job summary

Talentedge in Manchester is hiring an experienced Production Accountant to lead the finance for multiple TV productions.

Reporting to the FD, you will manage budgets, cost reports, and cash flows, ensuring adherence to financial procedures across the production slate.

This 12-month fixed-term role offers £55-60k plus bonus and benefits, with a bias to office presence in Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Lead production accounting for a slate of productions across the group.
• Build and maintain relationships with Production Execs and Production Managers; ensure awareness of financial procedures.
• Help production teams with setup and operation on PMI.
• Compile and update production budgets, cost reports, cash-flows, and edit schedules.
• Work with production managers to ensure accurate financial control of all costs.
• Be the initial point of contact for financial matters for allocated productions; liaise with purchase ledger and management accountants as needed.
• Monitor spend, supplier/freelancer invoices, petty cash, and expense claims; ensure invoicing and paperwork are correct.
• Post internal recharges and levies/deductions against productions.
• Monitor cash-flow and perform ad-hoc analysis as directed by the FD.

Production Accountant - Manchester based

This Manchester based multiple-award winning TV Production group is in rapid growth and as a result has created a new role for an experienced Production Accountant.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will take the finance lead for several of their key productions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage a slate of allocated productions across the group's slate.
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with Production Execs and Production Managers. Meet with new production teams and ensure they are fully aware of company financial procedures and adhere to them throughout the production period.
• Help production teams with the setup and operation of their productions on PMI
• Compile and update all production finance information (e.g. production budget, cost reports, cash-flows, edit schedules)
• Work with production managers to ensure accurate financial control of all production costs
• Be the initial point of contact for all financial matters for your allocated productions, liaising with both the purchase ledger department and management accountants where required
• Monitor all spend on your allocated productions, including supplier/freelancer invoice submission, petty cash spend, expense claims (ensuring correct invoicing and paperwork are submitted at all times)
• Post internal recharges and levies/deductions against your productions
• Monitoring of cash-flow
• Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by the FD

Required Background/Experience:
