Working hours: This role is available on a part‑time, job‑share or full‑time basis.

Location: Ideally Fareham, but we’re flexible/hybrid.

What will you be doing?

The Retail Test Team is part of a wider Digital and Proposition team, working collaboratively to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer outcomes. Our teams are dedicated to various aspects of delivering high quality outputs, ensuring that our Broker partners and customers receive the best possible products and experiences.

The Retail Test Team ensures all changes and system functionalities perform as expected. The team rigorously tests new developments and updates, identifying any issues or incidents to guarantee smooth and reliable operations for our Retail functions.

Reporting to the Retail Automation Test Lead, this role will require strong working relationships with members of the UKGI Pricing & Underwriting Department and other areas of UK Retail, along with collaboration with external parties.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the Mid‑Market Team Leader in developing and implementing testing initiatives.
  • Analyse and update test data and write test scripts to fit the requirements under test.
  • Execute testing manually and via internal automation tool, analyse results, ensuring any defects are accurately recorded, investigated and monitored through to resolution.
  • Create, maintain, and execute test tools and test data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Continue to maintain and develop a good understanding of Quality Assurance processes.
Your skills and experience
  • Proven experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail (with preferred experience of analysing requirements and/or specifications).
  • Proficiency in using Excel for data manipulation, analysis and developing formulas.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different ways of working.
  • Passionate and care about the outcome.
  • Curious enough to ask the next question.
  • Able to change approaches to gain a shared understanding and achieve the best outcome.
