Job Description

Job Title – Product Technologist – Food

Type – Permanent

Salary – £35,000 to £40,000 pa (DOE)

Location – Onsite (5 days per week)

Hours – 37.5 hours per week

Based onsite at our prestigious client, this role focuses on driving the assurance of great and consistent product quality whilst upholding the ongoing processes to ensure standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the end‑to‑end processes of negotiating and agreeing Quality Attribute Specifications (QAS) and setting standards for depot quality checks.
  • Ensure all products have QAS completed, approved and active in line with all critical‑path timings.
  • Conduct all required scheduling, planning and preparation for product assessment panels.
  • Document outputs and associated actions from attribute panels and manage these with suppliers and SGS through to approval and subsequent specification activation.
  • Monitor product quality post‑launch against agency standards, reviewing and interpreting complaints and sales‑related data to determine frequency schedules.
Qualifications
  • Relevant technical/quality management experience or qualification in a related area (Food/FMCG).
Essential Experience
  • Practical working knowledge of legislation and technical standards.
  • Product knowledge and experience of delivering legal quality products to customers.
  • Proficient use of systems such as Igloo or Ice Check.
  • Advanced user of MS Office packages.
