Job summary

A leading quality assurance company in the United Kingdom seeks a Product Technologist focused on ensuring product quality standards. Qualifications

• Relevant Technical/Quality experience/qualification(s) in Food/FMCG.
• Experience working with UK Retailers is an advantage.
• Practical working knowledge of legislation and technical standards.
• Product knowledge to deliver legal quality products.
• Knowledge of critical paths and launch processes.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in relevant systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage processes for Quality Attributes Specifications.
• Ensure products have completed QAS in line with critical path timings.
• Plan and prepare for product assessment panels.
• Document outputs from attribute panels and manage through to approval.
• Monitor product quality post-launch against agency standards.

Job Title - Product Technologist - Food

Type - Permanent Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 pa DOE

Location - Onsite - 5 days per week

Hours - 37.5 hours per week

Based onsite at our prestigious client, this is role is focused on driving the assurance of great and consistent product quality whilst upholding the ongoing processes to make sure that standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the entire end to end processes of negotiating and agreeing Quality Attributes Specifications (QAS) and agreeing standards for depot quality checks
• Ensuring that all products have QAS completed, approved and active in line with all critical path timings
• To conduct all of the required scheduling, planning and preparation for the product assessment panels
• Documenting outputs and associated actions from attribute panels and managing these through with suppliers and SGS through to approval and subsequent specification activation
• Ability to work with various stakeholders
• Monitoring product quality post launch against agency standards, reviewing and interpreting complaints and sales related data to determine frequency schedule

Qualifications

• Relevant Technical/Quality experience/qualification(s) in a related area (Food/FMCG)
• Experience working with UK Retailers an advantage
• Essential Experience
