Job summary

Edwards Ltd., a brand within Atlas Copco Group, is seeking a Product Sustaining Engineer (TMS) to support, maintain, and improve Thermal Management Solutions products. You will own lifecycle activities, drive improvements, and resolve technical issues across manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.

The role requires 3–5 years in related fields, a Mechanical/Electromechanical/Product Design degree, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo).

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in product development, sustaining or related technical env.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electromechanical/Product Design Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong CAD proficiency with SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with thermal management or related industrial equipment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with configurations, control systems, reliability improvement, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Product Sustaining Engineer (TMS), your mission is to provide ongoing support, maintenance, improvement, and lifecycle management of Thermal Management Solutions (TMS) products following release to production. You will report to the Sustaining Team Manager - TMS.

You will

  • Own assigned TMS product lines throughout their lifecycle, ensuring products remain reliable, competitive, manufacturable, and cost effective.
  • Lead product improvements, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, performance, and customer value.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues arising from manufacturing, suppliers, field service, and customers, driving robust root cause and corrective action solutions.
  • Develop innovative mechanical and electromechanical solutions for thermal management applications, including heated pipes, hoses, equipment, and associated assemblies.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including 3D CAD models, drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, sales, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and support business growth.
To succeed, you will need

You have 3 - 5 years of experience, working in product development, sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Strong experience supporting commercially released products and managing engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar, alongside the ability to create and interpret details engineering drawings.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with thermal management systems, heating systems, fluid control systems, sensors, or similar industrial equipment would be adventageous.
  • Familiarity with software configurations, control systems, reliability improvement, and manufacturing process is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
