Description

As a Product Strategy Manager, you will be at the forefront of shaping our product portfolio and driving its success by making informed and strategic decisions. This will require deep customer research, commercial team collaboration, and market investigation and insights.

Reporting to the Director of Product, and collaborating with various teams, you will be responsible for leading and executing a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the business’s goals and objectives.

This role will be pivotal in shaping Davies future product roadmap, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring alignment with evolving technological trends and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Leadership: Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic vision.
  • Delivering Product Strategy: Develop and execute forward-looking product strategies that anticipate market trends, customer needs, technology advancement and competitive landscapes.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Create and maintain a clear and well-communicated product roadmap that outlines key features, enhancements, and releases, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, marketing, commercial, and partners to drive product success and alignment with company goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and areas for growth.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor products and strategies, identifying areas for differentiation and innovation.
  • Financial Accountability: Manage the product budget, track financial performance, and ensure products meet revenue, profitability, and cost control targets.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Maintain a deep understanding of user needs through continuous customer engagement, feedback analysis, and user testing.
  • Product Launch Excellence: Work closely with the Senior Product Marketing Manager to plan and execute successful product launches, including go-to-market strategies, marketing collateral, and customer training materials.
  • KPI-Driven Decision-Making: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of product initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Several years experience in product strategy (not just product management) - able to clearly communicate how you have made a positive impact on a company's revenue by designing, delivering and/or improving product strategy
  • Be a visionary – Define iterate product visions and concepts to key stakeholders.
  • Able to gather, interpret and use data to make informed business choices
  • An expert in creating and maintaining product roadmaps and strategy documents.
  • Technical product experience, ideally in banking/insurance/regulated markets
  • Innovative tech product experience greatly advantageous (eg; machine learning, AI etc)
  • People management skills (will have people-management responsibilities for 1+ team members)
  • Experience in coaching Product professionals.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to act as the go-between for technical, commercial and operational teams.
  • Ability to deliver in often ambiguous environments
  • Willing to travel to team meetings monthly (or as requested)
