Product Specifications Technologist – Cardiff

A well-established and successful manufacturer, this company is recognised as the market-leading brand within the industry and has a reputation for quality and innovation that is supported by its excellent technical team.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Produce and maintain specification documents and Ironmongery/ Hardware Schedules in line with current standards and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain the principals of CCPI – Code of Construction Products Information policy for all marketing literature together with website content and any associated links.
  • Support architectural BIM requirements – develop and maintain Revit families.
  • Monitor the Technical Support Issue Tracker in SharePoint – prioritise / action and respond within the agreed SLA timescale.
  • Identify NPD opportunities for evaluation.
  • Support internal team and external stakeholders (architects, contractors, regulatory bodies) with detailed product information.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Strong communication skills, creative and the ability to present clear unambiguous product information, documentation and literature.
  • Ability to understand standards and the routes to compliance.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems especially within CAD and parametric modelling.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
