A leading technology firm in Cambridge is looking for an experienced security systems architect to design and implement new security systems for product engineering. The role demands significant experience in distributed engineering teams and successful leadership in process changes. Applicants should be personable and skilled in building networks to influence organizational change. The firm offers a hybrid working model and a supportive environment for all employees.
Are you an experienced software, hardware or systems engineer seeking a leadership role? If you are able to design and implement new systems to enable product security engineering then we need to speak to you!
Arm's Product Security division has an opening for a skilled and motivated security systems architect to be part of our team in the UK. The role is based in our Cambridge office (preferred) but could also be performed from our Sheffield office.
In this context 'security systems' means the particular processes and platforms that engineering teams use to optimise security when developing products, for example, Security Development Lifecycles and associated tracking tools. It also includes security Monitoring and Incident Response that occur post-development.
Our team creates and maintains these systems. We are now seeking an experienced practitioner to drive the design and implementation of new security systems in Arm's expanding range of engineering activities!
You will be a key member of our team that, together, must deliver efficient and effective security engineering processes across Arm. Your personal responsibility will be to own and complete some larger initiatives we have identified to establish new security systems. The role involves both defining and doing the work, and negotiating with others to do the work.
These systems must meet the needs of Arm's engineering teams, particularly the community of security experts distributed across the company. The systems will also need to integrate with other platforms and processes such as workflow, quality, configuration management, supplier management, procurement and legal.
You will develop the roadmap for Arm’s core interconnect and control subsystems, ensuring they are strategically aligned and technically validated across markets. While the initial focus is infrastructure, you will work across line of business and customers to ensure these foundational technologies are robust, driven, and reusable across Arm’s diverse product portfolio. Your ownership of requirement specs and roadmap rigor will ensure subsystem coherence across product generations — enabling Arm to scale from IP to complete system solutions.
