Job summary

CBSbutler Ltd. is seeking a Product Security Engineer to support Defence and Government projects, owning security across the full product lifecycle from design to maintenance.

The role requires strong collaboration with engineering teams and security authorities to ensure compliance with UK and international frameworks. The position demands extensive product security expertise, risk assessment, and the ability to implement robust security controls within regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, CS or cyber security or equivalent.
• Strong experience in product security for defence/government domains.
• Active SC clearance or eligibility (UK Eyes Only).

Responsibilities

• Develop Security Management Plans and cost estimates for bids and proposals.
• Undertake security risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Define product security requirements and advise engineering teams on controls.
• Work with product development teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Engage with security authorities to demonstrate compliance with frameworks.
• Support security incident management and remediation activities.
