Job summary

Primary Eyecare Services in Manchester is seeking an experienced Product Owner to shape Nexia, our new clinical and operational platform for NHS eye care delivery.

You will own the vision, backlog and roadmap, and lead a blended delivery team with our engineering partner and in-house developers toward go-live and rollout, while balancing business needs with technical considerations.

What we are looking for

We are seeking an accomplished Product Owner with proven success delivering complex digital products from concept to production, working effectively with external development partners and agile delivery teams.

You will have experience in writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria, leading and developing people, and balancing business needs with technical considerations across APIs, integrations, cloud platforms and data. In addition to excellent stakeholder management and communications skills.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Digital Director, you will manage a team and lead the development of Nexia, our new clinical and operational platform. Nexia is our new digital platform that will transform how we deliver clinical services, bringing referrals, patient pathways, administration, finance and reporting together in one place.

It sits at the heart of our digital strategy and is being built by our engineering partner alongside our own in-house developers.

You will own the vision, roadmap and backlog, and be the day-to-day product decision maker for a blended delivery team made up of our engineering partner and our own in-house developers. Youll be joining at a pivotal point, as Nexia moves from early build towards go-live and rollout.
