This role is based in London Victoria, and offers hybrid working, with majority of the working week in the office. We recommend discussing arrangements with the hiring manager.

The role
  • As Product Owner, you are responsible for setting the strategic direction for the D365 and OneStream solution functionality to meet the Finance organisation needs and providing oversight of the optimisation transformation objectives.

  • You will drive product strategy, roadmap and execution and have the ability to take a business idea from inception to production, delivering significant business value in the process. You will also advise and support the business with process improvements. This could involve improved reporting, changing existing processes to fully utilise product functionality.

Principle accountabilities
  • Accountable for the management and optimisation of strategic products across the company

  • Formulate the vision, strategy and roadmap for the set of products you work on in the portfolio (product mix, new products, retirement of old products), and work with others in aligning the strategic priorities, dependencies and roadmap across the product portfolio

  • Working with the Finance organisation to support optimisation transformation objectives through the use of D365 and Onestream, together with advising on wider process improvements

  • Lead a team of c4 direct reports

  • Ensuring alignment of D365 and Onestream and supporting wider data governance processes

  • Finance Transformation Delivery Forum member accountable for providing roadmap for optimisations

  • Quickly build market knowledge and assess new product opportunities (gathering ideas, research, carrying out analysis, refining and prioritising new requirements)

  • Plan and co-ordinate significant product efforts that have dependencies on multiple product and engineering teams

  • Steer sprint/release planning sessions by work with your engineering counterparts to plan sprints/ releases that deliver maximum business value with the least effort

  • Identify and drive improvements to the way in which product performance and service levels are measured to ensure product quality, reliability and security

  • Manage the supplier strategy for your product domain identifying third party suppliers and business partners, and managing existing relationships

  • Lead discovery work around a minimum viable product (MVP) for any new product/ feature, and engineering teams to prototype and validate an MVP

  • Help the team in breaking down a complex piece of work/ epic into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster

  • Provide leadership and direction to cross functional team(s) on short-term tasks/ near-term priorities

  • Are accountable for the performance/ adoption of your product and work towards increasing it

  • Contribute towards hiring/ building a great pool of Product Owners for your own and other functions

  • Recommending roadmap for optimisations to Finance Transformation Delivery Forum for approval

  • Execution of changes within approved roadmap

  • Extensive experience of D365 and OneStream

  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle

  • Excellent facilitation skills to effectively gather requirements from senior business leaders

  • Highly effective cross-functional team management

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills

  • Working knowledge of digital tools including Miro and Jira

  • Degree educated or relevant professional background
