Job summary

La Fosse is aiding a large transport & logistics organisation in Liverpool to hire a Product Owner who will own business-critical technology within a complex, operational environment.

This role extends beyond backlog management, encompassing software, hardware and third‑party systems; you’ll shape the roadmap, collaborate with operational teams and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement in a hands‑on, hybrid setting in Liverpool.

Qualifications

• Experience owning products beyond backlog and sprint management.
• Exposure to hardware, OT or integrated systems is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.

I’m working with a large, established transport & logistics organisation looking for a Product Owner to take ownership of business-critical technology within a complex, operational environment.

This isn’t your typical backlog and sprint-focused PO role. You’ll own a mix of software, hardware and third‑party technology, working closely with operational teams and suppliers to shape the roadmap and drive continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own the product roadmap, priorities and lifecycle
• Identify opportunities for improvements, upgrades and new capabilities
• Work closely with operational and technical stakeholders
• Manage key technology suppliers and third parties
• Drive optimisation and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Product Owner / Product Manager experience
• Experience owning products beyond backlog and sprint management
• Exposure to hardware, operational technology or integrated systems is highly desirable
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a hands‑on operational environment

Experience across logistics, transport, manufacturing, infrastructure or similar environments would be useful, but isn’t essential.
