Overview:

A market leading organization operating within the Banking space are searching for an experienced Product Owner with strong Payments experience to join a large-scale transformation programme on a hybrid basis in London.

Role & Responsibilities:

Own and manage the product backlog for Payments initiatives, ensuring clear prioritisation aligned to business value.
Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and delivery partners.
Drive product delivery across the full lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation.
Work closely with agile delivery teams, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Ensure Payments solutions align with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
Provide clear product direction, roadmap input, and delivery updates to senior stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement of Payments products and delivery processes.

Technical Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Product Owner within Payments.
Strong understanding of payment systems, flows, and operational processes.
Experience working within large, complex financial services or banking environments.
Strong experience working within agile delivery frameworks (Scrum / SAFe / Kanban).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
