Job summary

CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system. CDP is seeking a Product Manager for the data product to own the product lifecycle and work with engineers, QA, designers and data analysts in an agile squad.

The Product Manager will lead discovery, definition and delivery of a suite of products, partnering with a broad group of stakeholders to analyse needs, formalise requirements, and develop the roadmap and backlog to enable Earth-positive

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role within a product-led organisation.
  • Familiarity with embedding best practices in agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
  • Delivery experience managing end-to-end projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of the product roadmap aligned with internal goals.
  • Conduct discovery and market research to inform delivery and validate changes with end users.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse business needs and pain points.
  • Create detailed user stories, wireframes, diagrams and other docs to capture requirements clearly.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Lead agile ceremonies to deliver value to users.
  • Prioritise conflicting needs and plan work increments.
  • Support the Product Lead to manage the full lifecycle including planning and budgets.
  • Drive adoption through coordinating communications, training and documentation.

About the Team:

The Product owner team define the product roadmap, prioritization and requirements for their product or product portfolio. We work very closely with Data and Engineering to deliver the Products using an agile framework.

About this role:

The Product Manager will be responsible for supporting the Product Lifecycle focusing on discovery, definition and delivery of a suite of products. This role will work closely with the Product Lead, engineers, quality assurance analysts, designers and data analysts within a squad as well as with a wide group of stakeholders across the organisation to analyse the business needs, formalise requirements, and develop the roadmap and backlog. This role will support the running of agile ceremonies to support the product lifecycle.

What you will do:
  • Support development of product roadmap aligned with internal goals and objectives
  • Conduct discovery and market research to inform delivery and validate product changes with end users
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse their business needs, identify pain points
  • Create detailed user stories, wireframes, process diagrams and other supporting documentation to capture requirements clearly and concisely
  • Translate business requirements into well-understood technical specifications
  • Conduct ceremonies using an Agile methodology to deliver value to users
  • Prioritise and resolve conflicting business needs and plan work increments accordingly
  • Analyse bugs and work with the squad to resolve as required
  • Support the Product Lead to manage the full lifecycle of the Product including planning, execution, monitoring ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Support adoption of the product among key stakeholders through coordinating communications, training sessions, documentation, and support

Companies (Disclosers, Requestors), Financial Institutions, Governments (Cities and States and Regions), Indices, NGO’s, and Academics

We’re looking for:
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role within a Product-led organisation
  • Familiarity with and experience of embedding best practices in agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proven delivery experience of managing end-to‑end, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Knowledge, interest, and passion for the environmental and/or sustainability space will be an advantage
Salary and benefits:

Salary banding for this role is £54,000 - £67,000/year.

Final offer amount depends on multiple factors such as candidates experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data.

This is a permanent contract based at CDP’s London office. Interested applicants must be eligible to work legally in the UK and live within a commutable distance of the London office and be comfortable with 2 days in the office per week. We cannot sponsor this role.
