About the role

Join us as we embark on a transformation of our Gifting offer. We are looking for a creative and driven Product Manager to lead the development and execution of gifting collections for our Own Brand and Exclusive brands at Christmas.

You’ll have accountability for the full end to end product development from concept to the final launch.

This role is a one year secondment on either a full or part time basis within our Nottingham office.

Key responsibilities

As Product Manager, you will report into the Senior Product Manager alongside your peers. You will have responsibility for 1 or 2 direct reports at L6 or 7.

You’ll have full accountability for the end-to-end product development from creating compelling, consumer-led concepts, aligned to the wider gifting strategy, through to delivering the finished product on shelf.

You’ll react fast to changing category dynamics and market trends, identifying opportunities to add value & meet customer needs better than ever before.

You’ll work closely with your colleagues in the category, sourcing, technical and packaging teams along with design & artwork agencies to ensure a seamless product development process.

You’ll build strong relationships with external brand partners, maximising the potential of our licensing partnerships.

You’ll lead by example, nurturing your direct report(s) in product development, positioning & delivery within the brands they work on.

What you’ll need to have
  • You're able to demonstrate extensive experience in end-to-end product development. Experience in product development is preferable, showing how you can navigate a complex and ever evolving product environment. You're passionate about good design, with a strong understanding of consumer-led product positioning, iconography and colour.
  • Excellence in communication: You're articulate and your storytelling is of a high standard, both verbally and written.
  • You have experience in leading a team. You're a consistent role model for leadership behaviours, setting a good example to those around you. You're able to demonstrate your ability to deliver through others, you have confidence to lean into challenges & lead people through change.
  • You build & nurture productive relationships and can demonstrate experience in working well within cross functional teams and manging external stakeholder relationships.
  • Commercial Accumen: You have the ability to balance creativity with profitability, ensuring ranges are both desirable to customers and cost effective to the business.
