Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment in Manchester is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own and scale core API platforms, backend microservices, and data tools. You will lead cross-functional engineering teams to enhance developer experience and integrate AI/data solutions across our global platform.

The role requires extensive API design experience, cloud/AI exposure, and a strong background in agile delivery. The position offers a hybrid work model with 1–2 days in the office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Technical PM managing high-scale APIs, platforms, or data products.
• Deep understanding of API design (OpenAPI/Swagger/Postman).
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (GCP/Azure/AWS) and AI/LLM integrations.
• Strong experience in Scrum/Kanban, writing technical specifications, and managing delivery cadences.
• Experience in e-commerce, travel tech, or large-scale digital marketplaces is a plus.

Location: Manchester, UK, Only 1 or 2 days to office

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Platform & API Strategy: Own the roadmap and backlog for core APIs and microservices, ensuring high availability, speed, and scalability.
• Technical & AI Execution: Work with engineers and data teams to design data models, APIs (REST/OpenAPI), recommendation engines, and AI workflows.
• Data Governance: Build clear data policies and frameworks across multi-market products.
• Agile Delivery: Write clear user stories (BDD/Gherkin), set team OKRs/KPIs, and lead sprint planning across engineering squads.
