At Productboard, we're building the first agentic product management system. We're rethinking how product management is done in a world full of AI agents, and how we help our customers build what matters for their audience. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own that intersection and the core experience around it: a hands-on senior IC from an AI-first product company who owns roadmapping, prioritization, and customer engagement end to end
Know the customer better than anyone. Understand how modern product organizations actually work, and where structure plus an agent removes work rather than adding tooling. Bring that to every prioritization call. Own the core experience for roadmapping, prioritization, and customer engagement. Set the strategy, roadmap, and the metrics that show these use-cases deliver real value, not novelty. Own how product teams and their stakeholders work together in Productboard, partner closely with designers so people reach the value they came for without friction, and say no when a local decision fragments the whole. Own the intersection where Spark meets structured UI. Decide where Spark acts and where it proposes, how people review and correct its work, and how its output lands in the roadmaps, priorities, and customer records teams already rely on, so Spark and the core feel like one product. Rebuild the workflows for an AI-first operating model. Rethink what roadmapping, prioritization, and customer engagement look like when an agent does part of the work, and ship the new default rather than a smarter version of the old one. Drive key initiatives across teams. Take on the problems bigger than any one squad: a roadmap that stays current as Spark processes feedback instead of being rebuilt every quarter, prioritization where Spark proposes and the team decides with full visibility into why, a customer loop that closes without a PM copying between tools. Frame them, align the org, ship, and measure whether it worked. Design durable platform foundations with engineering. Translate use-cases and needs into the necessary architecture, data model, or API changes, and build systems simple enough to use today and built to last. Prototype in code by default. When words aren't settling a debate, build the flow with AI coding tools and put it in front of customers. Raise the bar. Be the first user of Productboard and Spark for your own work, and mentor other PMs through pairing and example.
8+ years in product management, all of it hands-on. A senior individual contributor on complex products, with meaningful time in enterprise B2B SaaS, and a product area that is visibly better because you owned it. Proven owner of a core product area. You've owned strategy and outcomes for a foundational part of a product, such as planning, prioritization, or customer-facing workflows, and shipped systems other teams built on. Deep customer empathy. You're highly skilled at user research and you know how product organizations really work, including the messy parts. Systems thinker with technical depth. You reason comfortably about data models, APIs, and architectural trade-offs, and you can hold the whole system in your head while deciding about one part of it. Strong in information architecture, structured UI, and collaboration. You've built complex, structured products that many roles use together in different ways, in close partnership with Design, and you know how to make structure feel simple and working together feel effortless. Exceptional product and design taste. You know what frictionless feels like, you can tell simple from simplistic, and you hold the bar for the final experience, not just the spec. Agentic products experience. You've shipped products where an agent does real work on the user's behalf, wrestled with trust, control, and quality evaluation, and have real opinions on where agents belong in structured enterprise software and which parts of product management are worth rebuilding around them, because you use the newest ones the week they ship. AI-first in how you work. AI agents are how you research, synthesize, analyze, and prototype every day. When a debate needs settling, you build it with Claude Code, Cursor, or whatever fits. You've lived through a team's shift to AI-first ways of working and you know what it takes to make it stick. Founder mentality, low ego. You own outcomes end to end, turn ambiguity into clear decisions, stand up for what's right with challenging stakeholders, and work in the open with designers and engineers as peers. Strategic communicator. You can explain a hard structural change to an executive, an engineer, and a GTM team, and each leaves clearer than they arrived.
