Job summary

Kingfisher is seeking a strategic professional to lead the Own Exclusive Brands (OEB) range for Paint & Painting Tools. You will translate customer insights into short- and long-term plans, identify growth levers, and collaborate with Banners to realise the full potential of the OEB range.

You'll analyse trends, drive New Product Development opportunities, and maintain close working relationships across a matrix organisation to deliver measurable performance improvements.

• Create space to engage with Banners to present OEB strategy and produce supporting materials.
• Assess potential additions to the Banners' ask to maximise OEB range potential.
• Build range recommendations that gain buy-in and confidence across Banners.
• Maintain visibility of the Banners’ full range for insight purposes.

This role sits within the Range team reporting to the Head of Range. To develop affordable and sustainable innovation in OEB (Own Exclusive Brands) for Paint & Painting Tools, to be more agile in new product development and be more impactful on performance.

What's the job?

• Create a closer proximity to our customers. Building a deeper knowledge and understanding of their lives and homes.

• Provide an effective brief to the Customer Insight team to ensure they are clear on data requirements needed to drive the right activity

• Ability to translate this knowledge into both a short- and long-term strategic plan identifying the key levers that will drive overall growth for your area of accountability

• Identify commercial potential for the OEB range by analysing relevant data, trends & industry insights and utilising to create and maintain a more customer-centric, relevant, and right-sized range.

• Take a lead role on identifying New Product Development opportunities, inputting into eligibility criteria, and using the Business direction.

• Create the environment and space to engage effectively with the Banners to present our OEB strategy and create supporting materials

• Understand the potential additions to the Banners 'ask', to take the OEB range to the full potential.

• Build range recommendations that generate buy in and instil confidence across the Banners.

• Have full visibility of the Banners’ full range for insight purposes

What you'll bring

• Strong analytical skills to draw insight from a variety of commercial and customer data points and identify trends

• Previous industry and product knowledge experience within a retail environment

• Expertise and the practical application of New Product Development processes
