About the Role
Overview

Caristo develops AI-powered cardiovascular imaging technologies that translate scientific breakthroughs into clinically impactful products. We are looking for a Product Innovation Lead to help define, prototype and de-risk future product opportunities before they are incorporated into regulated medical devices.
Operating from the Research & Innovation Team, the successful candidate will operate across Research, Engineering, Operations, Clinical, Regulatory, and external collaborators to help determine what should be built, why it matters and how it reaches patients.
Success in this role means reducing uncertainty, aligning stakeholders and helping the organisation make good decisions about what to build next.

What You Will Be Doing
Product Innovation
  • Lead development of future product roadmaps and product definitions
  • Identify and prioritise features required for clinical, commercial and regulatory success
  • Work closely with Engineering to translate prototypes into regulated product releases
  • Help shape long-term product strategy
Prototype Development
  • Develop and maintain prototype implementations of future product capabilities
  • Rapidly evaluate new technical approaches
  • Document methods, validation approaches and product definitions
  • Establish technical requirements for future releases
Regulatory and Evidence Generation
  • Support validation strategies and evidence-generation plans
  • Help define effective FDA 510(k) and other regulatory pathways
  • Conduct regulatory dry-runs to identify risks early
  • Generate technical documentation supporting product claims
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work across Research, Engineering, Operations and Clinical teams
  • Partner with users to test prototypes in real-world workflows
  • Build alignment around priorities and strategic decisions
External Collaboration
  • Support relationships with collaborators and strategic partners
  • Represent technical programmes in selected discussions
  • Support publications, abstracts and evidence-generation activities
What Success Looks Like
  • Establish a clear MVP definition for a future product opportunity
  • Help define and de-risk the regulatory pathway
  • Deliver validated prototype capabilities ready for product implementation
  • Create a roadmap for future product evolution
  • Build effective cross-functional relationships
  • Help ensure external collaborations translate into product opportunities
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building clarity from incomplete information, naturally works across teams and disciplines, balances near-term delivery with long-term product thinking, shares work early, iterates rapidly and takes ownership without requiring formal authority.

We value judgement, pragmatism and collaboration over academic perfection. We are looking for someone who can make good decisions in the presence of uncertainty, build alignment across teams and keep complex programmes moving forward.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Background in AI, medical imaging, computer vision or quantitative healthcare technology
  • Experience developing or evaluating machine learning technologies
  • Strong scientific and technical reasoning ability
  • Experience translating research into practical solutions
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Python experience
  • Experience rapidly prototyping technical concepts
  • Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience in CT imaging or medical image analysis
