Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is seeking a Product Engineer to join a global manufacturer in Ross-on-Wye. You will develop new products, improve existing ranges, and collaborate with manufacturing, sales, suppliers and customers across the UK and Europe.

Attractive salary and benefits on offer. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in product engineering, design, and development, with CAD/3D modelling skills and a degree in mechanical engineering or design.

Qualifications

• Experience within Product Engineering, Product Development, Design Engineering or a similar technical role.
• Degree, HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline.
• Experience using CAD and 3D modelling software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, injection moulding or fabrication.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and enhance existing product ranges.
• Support projects from concept, design and testing through to launch.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to identify product improvements.
• Produce technical drawings, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimise production processes.
• Ensure products meet relevant quality and environmental standards.
