We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Engineer to join our prestigious manufacturing facility in Trafford Park, Manchester. The successful Product Engineer will play a vital role in supporting sales through accurate quoting, managing product specifications, and liaising with suppliers to uphold high standards within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

As a Product Engineer, your duties will include:
  • Producing engineering-ready part lists and specifications
  • Maintaining supplier quotes and managing supplier costs
  • Creating order acknowledgements and documentation for customers
  • Tracking quote statuses and reporting on customer conversions
  • Communicating with customers regarding specifications and requirements
  • Ensuring accurate and clear communication between sales and engineering departments
  • Signing off build documentation and engineering specifications
  • Managing product specifications within the engineering team
  • Maintaining control of the product matrix and high-value parts lists
  • Preparing and completing sales quotes efficiently
  • Supporting departmental improvements and other team duties as required
The ideal Requirements for this Product Engineer role are:
  • Proven experience as a Product Engineer, Design Engineer or similar within manufacturing or automotive sectors
  • Strong understanding of product specifications, bill of materials, and cost estimation
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with suppliers and customers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant technical qualifications and a proactive approach to problem-solving
