Product Engineering Issues on Released Platforms: Provide technical assistance and support to ensure:
- Selective engineering problems relating to design and or issues identified by customers are investigated in a thorough manner.
- Identification of root causes. Follow the PT problem solving methodology or 8D RCA investigation tools where necessary.
- Collation of evidence and reporting is concise and traceable.
- Use appropriate and or initiate new build documentation to support the assembly and test plans.
- Capable of interrogating BOM's, ECO's and DP's effectively.
Product Improvements and Product Correction Validation: Provide technical assistance and support on product improvements and product corrections being implemented to ensure:
- From information provided by the design team, implement improvements to current released products including, control systems, plumbing, pneumatics and mechanical elements.
- Test documentation is developed to ensure product improvements are fully tested to ensure performance is appropriate and will meet customer expectations.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to production engineering and test department following any product improvement validation activities or outcomes from the product development team.
- Support corrective action requests, typically FRN (fault reports) and DP's Deviation permits.
- Provide feedback to the design team as to the suitability and robustness of solutions, with particular attention to DFM, DFA and DFS is required.
- Products are manufactured and tested to the standards as set out in our documentation.
- Support the Manufacturing engineering team to keep documentation (SOP, Instructions) up to date.
Quality - Ensure quality is at the forefront of all your activities and ensure:
- Monitor, report and optimise product quality
- Upon assignment, Quality Notifications and customer feedback/faults on commissioning relating to product improvements, react in a timely and efficient manner.
