Job summary

Blackstar Amplification Ltd seeks a Product Developer to drive the design, prototyping and finalisation of guitar amplifiers, software and related products. You will combine technical rigour with a keen musical ear to translate ideas into tangible hardware and software concepts.

You will collaborate with electronics and mechanical engineers, conduct pre-release tests, manage listening tests and ensure documentation tracks the development process from concept to sign-off.

Qualifications

• Experienced guitar player with passion for guitar tone and audio technology.
• Hands-on experience in a professional recording studio or live sound environment.
• Structured engineering approach with high attention to detail.
• Independent, self-motivated with ability to solve technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Apply critical listening and sound-design skills to bring an objective ear to product development.
• Use rapid prototyping and studio tools to drive blackstar sound engineering.
• Collaborate with electronics and mechanical engineers to design and prototype new products.
• Responsible for first-pass sound design of Blackstar products.
• Devise, control and carry out pre-release test procedures for hardware and software.
• Set up and manage product listening tests and maintain development records.
