Job summary

Twinkl is seeking an experienced Product Designer to lead the Design System, building core components and maintaining standardised libraries. This remote UK role focuses on driving system adoption across product teams and ensuring accessible, scalable design solutions.

The position is a 12-month fixed term contract with 37.5 hours per week (core hours 10:00–14:00). If you are collaborative, detail-oriented, and innovative, you’ll thrive in this fast-paced EdTech environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of digital product design experience, with at least 1 year focused on or heavily contributing to design systems.
• Proficiency with Figma, including component architecture, library publishing, and tokens management.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine responsive, accessible UI components using advanced features in Figma.
• Maintain and update usage guidelines and interaction specifications for components.
• Partner with front-end engineers to ensure design libraries align with code libraries.
• Act as main contact for design and product teams, triaging issues and supporting implementation.
• Audit existing products to consolidate patterns into the system.
