Overview

Affinity Workforce Solutions are working in partnership with a school in central Bristol who are looking for a full time Product Design Teacher.

The successful candidate must have Qualified Teacher Status, experience in a UK school and promote creativity and independence in the students at this school. The role includes teaching Product Design to KS3 and KS4 students, as well as Food Technology. The individual must have a positive mindset and be a role model to these students. The days working will be Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. The pay scale will be MPS1 - UPS3. This role has the opportunity to go permanent if the applicant is successful.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Product Design to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Teach Food Technology as part of the timetable
  • Be a positive role model and promote creativity and independence
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support a range of student needs
  • Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism and Speech & Language difficulties, in small groups and 1:1 where appropriate
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative to meet the demands of the role
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Sound understanding of Secondary Education
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Experience supporting KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Experience supporting children across all aspects of the curriculum
  • Team player with initiative and a positive outlook
  • Experience of working with children with diverse needs including Autism and speech and language difficulties
