Job description

We believe in better. And we make it happen. Better content, better products, better careers. Working at Sky in Tech, Product, or Data means building the next and the new—from broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, SkyQ to Sky Glass. We turn big ideas into products, content, and services millions love, and we do it right here. Within Commerce Design this role supports the Head of Design responsible for Checkout, Activation, and Manage experiences, working closely with Heads and Leads for Hooks & Storefronts and Commerce Foundations to create end‑to‑end experiences. This role has no people‑management responsibilities.

What you’ll do
  • Actively mentor junior, mid‑level, and senior designers to foster growth, empathy, and shared responsibility for team health.
  • Provide thoughtful, actionable feedback and direction across UX and UI disciplines throughout the full design lifecycle, cultivating a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Champion best practices and elevate design thinking through leadership and example.
  • Lead core and experimental projects, consistently raising the bar through hands‑on execution and strategic initiative.
  • Own and drive medium‑term design strategy, juggling multiple projects and shifting between design work and oversight.
  • Prioritize effectively to maintain momentum and deliver outcomes across complex, multi‑platform efforts.
  • Maintain a professional presence and clearly articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business partners to drive outcomes.
What you’ll bring
  • Recent experience as a Lead or a Senior designer, ready to step into a Lead role.
  • Experience leading multi‑platform projects (native mobile, web, TV) with a hands‑on approach and collaboration with product and engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple design projects, shifting fluidly between hands‑on design and strategic oversight.
  • A portfolio that highlights advanced UX/UI expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and adaptability across new domains; includes documentation across the design process, such as user journeys, detailed flows, wireframes, and high‑fidelity designs.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to tailor delivery to the audience.
  • Experience designing complex, data‑driven user flows; commerce experience is a plus.
