Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking a Product Design Engineer to drive the design and development of innovative engineered products. You’ll work from concept to final design release using Solid Edge CAD to produce precise outputs.

The role involves collaboration with technical, operations, sales, production and R&D teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements, safety standards and quality expectations. Salary up to £45,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Strong CAD skills; Solid Edge preferred but not essential.
• Background in product design engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Experience producing 3D models, drawings and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining, plastics and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D models, assemblies and detailed drawings using Solid Edge.
• Translate concepts and customer requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Contribute ideas to the product development roadmap and keep up with new materials and methods.
• Produce manufacturing drawings, BOMs and assembly instructions; support prototypes and testing.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and quality requirements; participate in design reviews.
