Job summary

AECOM, a global infrastructure leader, is seeking a Product Delivery Engineer within the AI Engineering team. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, technology, and client delivery, supporting our AI design platform and helping shape product development.

This hands-on role requires broad MEP knowledge, attention to detail, and a curious mindset to apply AI and BIM tools to improve delivery. You will engage with clients, translate requirements into tangible outputs, and drive quality

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, or degree in a relevant engineering discipline with MEP design/review experience.
• Broad understanding of mechanical, electrical and public health systems and ability to review MEP calculations.
• Strong attention to detail with quality checks and defect identification.
• Excellent communication to lead client meetings and manage expectations.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deliver on time.
• Experience working in a 3D BIM environment and with AI/LLMs to improve delivery.
• Proactive team player, adaptable to changing priorities and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Review designs and calculations across MEP to support project delivery.
• Translate client requirements into deliverables and manage stakeholder relationships.

Job Description

In the AI Engineering team, we build AI-driven technology that revolutionises how infrastructure and buildings are designed and engineered; reducing waste, cutting CO₂, and making the built environment more efficient and sustainable.

We are now building out the delivery team for our mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) products, and we are looking for innovators who want to be part of shaping the future of project delivery.

What You’ll Do

As a Product Delivery Engineer in the AI Engineering team, you will sit at the intersection of engineering, technology, and client delivery. Supporting AECOM's AI design platform, you will help shape product development, assure the quality of engineering outputs and work directly with customers to capture and translate requirements into practical deliverables.

It is a hands‑on, varied role suited to someone who is technically credible across MEP, detail‑driven, and genuinely curious about how technology can change existing ways of working.

Technical Leadership & Client Engagement – Apply broad MEP engineering expertise to review designs and calculations, translate client requirements into deliverables, manage stakeholder relationships, and coordinate priorities to support successful project delivery.

Product Delivery & Quality Assurance: Test and evaluate product features, provide engineering‑led feedback to developers, identify and help resolve defects, and ensure design outputs meet quality standards before being issued to clients.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Champion the adoption of AI and emerging technologies, leverage digital tools to improve delivery, and help shape new ways of working that enhance engineering efficiency and quality across AECOM.

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• Qualifications & Experience: HNC, HND, or degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with proven experience designing and/or reviewing MEP systems.
• MEP Engineering Expertise: Broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems, with the ability to review design information and assess the suitability of MEP calculations and outputs.
• Design Review & Quality Assurance: Strong attention to detail with experience reviewing engineering deliverables, performing quality checks, and identifying errors, inconsistencies, and software defects.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the confidence to lead meetings, capture requirements, manage expectations, and build strong relationships with clients and technical teams.
• Project & Delivery Coordination: Able to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders to ensure successful and timely delivery.
• Digital & Technical Capability: Comfortable working in a 3D BIM environment and using digital tools, including AI and large language models (LLMs), to improve productivity and delivery.
• Collaboration & Adaptability: A proactive team player who is eager to learn, adaptable to changing priorities, and motivated to continuously improve ways of working.

Preferred Skills

• BIM & Digital Engineering Tools: Proficient in BIM platforms such as Revit, Solibri, and similar tools, with a strong understanding of model-based design workflows.
• Model Preparation & Data Quality: Experienced in preparing and validating Revit models for use in digital and AI-enabled workflows, including managing spaces and rooms, verifying asset classification and metadata, and supporting conversion from Revit to IFC formats.

Broad Industry Experience: Exposure to a range of building types and project sectors, with experience working across different international
