Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a data analytics professional to shape the strategy of our Operations and Compliance products. You will work across AML Transaction Monitoring and Merchant Care domains, building frameworks, shaping data collection, and turning insights into product improvements.

You'll collaborate with Senior Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Product Managers, owning measurement, data quality, and alert automation to drive impact in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• SQL is the core capability used to interrogate data
• Python or R skills strengthen the profile but don't replace SQL
• Foundations in statistics, clustering, and NLP basics are valued
• Analytical mindset to turn problems into data-driven solutions
• Strong communication to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Not an entry-level role; 2-3 years in data science or product analytics, with startup/scale-up exposure

Responsibilities

• Measure impact of new tooling in Merchant Care and assess ROI
• Protect data quality by partnering with engineers to model the right data
• Optimize AML rules by simulating past data and refining logic
• Automate alerts and build an agent for low-risk cases
• Find insights in text by clustering and summarising support conversations
