Kainos is seeking a Product Consultant to bridge users, technology, and delivery. You will own product outcomes end to end, shaping backlogs, driving MVP thinking, and ensuring value in fast-paced, agile environments.

You will lead workshops, facilitate ceremonies, and mentor others while collaborating across delivery teams and client organisations to deliver great product work.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering bespoke software in agile teams for external clients.
• Healthcare or UK public sector experience (essential).
• Strong understanding of the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• High-quality backlog management, prioritisation and MVP delivery experience.
• Experience explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and a passion for mentoring others.
• Experience supporting sales activity (bids, proposals) is a plus.

The role

As a Product Consultant at Kainos,youllsit at the intersection of users, technology, and delivery, helping teams build the right things, in the right way, for the right reasons.

Youllown product outcomes end to end-from early discovery through to live operation-shaping backlogs, driving MVP thinking, and ensuring value is delivered in fast-paced, agile environments.

Youllbe a confident leader within your team, comfortable facilitating workshops, running agile ceremonies, and navigating ambiguity with stakeholders to reach clarity and consensus.

Youllalso play an active role in our Product capability, contributing to initiatives, mentoring others, and helping shape how we delivergreat productwork across Kainos.

Whatwerelooking for

• Experience delivering bespoke software in agile teams for external clients

• Healthcare or UK public sector experience (essential)

• Strong understanding of the full software delivery lifecycle

• Confidence challenging decisions constructively and adapting communication styles

• Strong backlog management, prioritisation, and MVP delivery experience

• High-quality user story writing and requirements elicitation skills

• Experience explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and a passion for mentoring others

• Experience supporting sales activity (bids, proposals) is a plus
