  • Finding and managing new partners to expand Manchester Tech Week.
  • Leading project meetings to track events to targets.
  • Managing content and VIP functions to deliver outstanding experiences.
  • Support in developing the content and VIP teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create a compelling VIP offering.
  • Work closely with Sales Manager on communications and sales plans.
  • Use customer insight for improving visitor experience.
  • Support marketing strategy for audience growth.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven, highly engaged Product & Community Director who can support the growth of our market‑leading DTX Manchester and DTX + UCX London shows and lead the development of our Manchester Tech Week brand.

DTX Manchester is a much‑loved tech show that holds a unique position in the market. In the past, the event has been in the shadow of its larger sister show in London, and there is a huge amount of potential to exploit. Even more exciting is the opportunity around the Manchester Tech Week Brand that represents a full week of activity in Manchester and the region.

The successful candidate will be one who relishes building deep connections with the market, spotting new opportunities and securing support from industry partners and major clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finding and managing new partners to greatly expand the reach of Manchester Tech Week.
  • Leading project meetings to ensure that events track to and exceed targets.
  • Managing the content and VIP functions to ensure that we deliver outstanding content and an impressive VIP audience.
  • Supporting the development of the content and VIP teams.
  • Working with marketing, content, and our VIP executive, to create a highly compelling VIP offering that grows the number of VIPs at our events and supports sales offerings to key clients.
  • Working closely with the Sales Manager to create clear comms and sales plans around bellwether clients and prospects.
  • Using customer insight to improve exhibitor and visitor experience.
  • Supporting marketing strategy to deliver audience growth.
  • Supporting the VIP Manager to ensure that we deliver an unrivalled senior audience and ensure exceptional experiences for our VIPs.
