Job summary

Omega in Stroud is seeking a Product Certification Engineer to lead regulatory activities across the product lifecycle, working with engineering, project management and external certification bodies to ensure compliance with CE, ATEX and global standards.

You will prepare technical files, test reports and Declarations of Conformity, manage certification tracking, and provide guidance on regulatory considerations to product development teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience in a Product Certification, Compliance, Regulatory, or Product Safety role.
  • Strong understanding of international product compliance and certification processes.
  • Experience with CE Marking, ATEX, and DWD.
  • Knowledge of UK, EU, and international regulatory requirements.
  • Experience liaising with notified bodies, testing laboratories, and certification organisations.
  • Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them within product development environments.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience within instrumentation, industrial electronics, automation, manufacturing, or regulated engineering sectors would be advantageous.

The Role
