Job summary

The Sales Recruitment Network is seeking a Product Assurance Engineer for a highly respected technology and engineering organisation near Reading, Berkshire. You will act as the technical authority for Product Assurance across the business, ensuring quality, reliability and regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle.

You will work with Engineering, Manufacturing and Project teams to drive governance, product quality and continuous improvement initiatives, including engineering gate reviews

Qualifications

• Experience in Product Assurance, Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Internal auditing in ISO 9001 environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering lifecycles and development processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Product Assurance activities throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Chair, review and approve Engineering Gate Reviews.
• Conduct internal audits covering Product Lifecycle, Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Review engineering and project documentation for compliance and quality.
• Investigate defects, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in Configuration Review Boards.
• Support product certification activities including CE, RoHS and REACH.
• Drive continuous improvement across quality, reliability and compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve product performance and governance.

A Unique Opportunity to Shape Product Assurance

Our client is a highly respected technology and engineering organisation operating within advanced imaging, electronics and embedded systems. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to become the technical authority for Product Assurance across the business.

This is a newly created position offering significant autonomy and influence, with responsibility for ensuring quality, reliability and compliance throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Project teams, you will play a key role in driving governance, product quality and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Product Assurance activities throughout the engineering lifecycle


• Chair, review and approve Engineering Gate Reviews


• Conduct internal audits covering Product Lifecycle, Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems


• Review engineering and project documentation to ensure compliance and quality standards are met


• Investigate product defects, identify root causes and implement corrective actions


• Participate in Configuration Review Boards


• Support product certification activities including CE, RoHS and REACH

About You

• Experience within Product Assurance, Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering

• A proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement
