The Role

As a Product Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving successful delivery of products within SSE. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, utilizing agile methodologies to ensure delivery. Your analytical skills and understanding of the energy industry will be essential in identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimizing outcomes.

You Will
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation : Capture and document business and technical requirements through workshops and meetings, translating them into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Collaboration & Agile Delivery : Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and cross‑functional teams to manage product backlogs and ensure prioritisation aligns with business goals.
  • Process Analysis & Improvement : Conduct gap analysis, recommend solutions, and propose improvements for processes and systems, including energy management and smart building solutions.
  • Testing & Validation : Support testing, validation, and implementation of new solutions, ensuring compliance with energy efficiency standards and BEMS requirements.
  • Reporting & Insights : Prepare reports and dashboards for stakeholders using tools such as Power BI to provide actionable insights.
You Have
  • Experience & Domain Knowledge : Proven background as a Business or Product Analyst in IT projects, ideally with exposure to BEMS and smart building technologies.
  • Agile & Collaboration Skills : Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum / Kanban) and proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, and Miro.
  • Technical & Data Expertise : Familiarity with APIs, ERP / CRM platforms, Power BI reporting, and basic SQL / DataBricks knowledge.
  • Tool Proficiency : Hands‑on experience with Microsoft365, Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Figma, StoryBook, and HubSpot.
  • Desirable Technical Background : Understanding of HVAC, IoT integration, energy optimisation strategies, and a solid IT foundation.
