Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking a Procurement Supply Manager to oversee end-to-end purchasing and subcontractor management for HPC Project in Somerset. You will work with cross-functional teams including procurement, engineering, quality, HSE to ensure timely and compliant delivery.

The role requires proven project-operations experience and strong knowledge of procurement systems, with NEC contract awareness preferred. On-site, Mon-Fri, 40 hours weekly, in Somerset region.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in a project role.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems.
  • Knowledge of contract forms – NEC Suite beneficial.
  • Knowledge of plant, equipment management and purchasing.
  • Qualifications demonstrating high level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Membership of CIPS.
  • CCNSG or CSCS MAPS.

  • Establish procurement strategy and packages for procurement.

The Procurement Supply Manageris responsible forworking with the client, Projectteamand onsite delivery team to manage the end-to-end purchase of equipment andsubcontractors to achieve the project outcomes.This position is based full time on site Monday to Friday 40 hours a week

  • Work within a cross-functional integrated team (Supply chain management, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, HSE and others as required) topurchaseall goods and

services required to deliver the HPC Project in Somerset a success

  • Complete Tender Life Cycle –work with project delivery team to define business requirements, contracts formation, engage supply chain andtender stakeholders
  • Negotiations (define negotiation strategy and drive negotiation results).
  • Contract, together with legal team.
  • Manage relationship with suppliers to ensuretimelyaccuratedelivery of the goods and services for the project
  • Manage Priority Delivery Sequence – ability to balance requirements.
  • Act as single point of contact for procurement activities
  • Lead all procurement engagements and meetings in sufficient time to achieve programme objectives
  • Establish overall procurement strategy and strategies forprocuringindividual packages
  • Establish understanding of risks inherent to procurement packages and adviseappropriate contractmodels
  • Establish clear budget alignment to procurement packages
  • Ensure tendering process is compliant with statutory and business requirements
  • Ensure tendering communications are undertaken with traceability and clear configuration control
  • Engage client to ensure Subcontract and vendor approval.
  • Any other reasonable activities as requested by the line manager
Qualifications and experience
  • Proventrack recordin a project role
  • Knowledge of procurement systems
  • Knowledge of forms of contract – NEC Suite beneficial
  • Knowledge of plant, equipment management andpurchasing
  • Qualificationsdemonstratinghigh levelof literacy and numeracy
  • Membership of CIPS
