We’re looking for a skilled Procurement Team Leader to manage and improve our tactical and strategic sourcing activities. This role will lead supplier relationships, drive commercial negotiations and deliver measurable cost savings and operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to execute procurement strategies and ensure supplier performance aligns with business goals.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled Procurement Team Leader to manage and improve our tactical and strategic sourcing activities. This role will lead supplier relationships, drive commercial negotiations and deliver measurable cost savings and operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to execute procurement strategies and ensure supplier performance aligns with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier contract negotiations and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance across key contracts.
  • Act as the escalation point for supplier issues raised by buyers or strategic leads.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to amend renew and optimise supplier contracts.
  • Deliver annual cost savings in line with team and company targets.
  • Build market knowledge to support sourcing decisions and competitive advantage.
  • Oversee spend categories and ensure accountability for performance.
  • Improve cost, risk, contract quality and delivery outcomes.
  • Conduct market analysis, issue tenders and evaluate supplier responses.
  • Track and report key performance indicators and manage supplier penalties where applicable.
About you
  • Proven experience in strategic procurement within a complex environment.
  • Strong track record in developing procurement strategies and managing supplier performance.
  • Skilled in contract management and minimising commercial risk.
  • High commercial acumen with the ability to analyse spend and market data.
  • Familiar with contract drafting and contract law.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship‐building skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, adaptable and comfortable with change.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the aviation C&E industry.
  • Experience mentoring procurement professionals.
  • CIPS qualified or working towards qualification.
