The post holder is a key interface between Procurement and our customers, managing the timely processing of requisitions for a range of goods and services that offer value for money, utilising electronic tools, ensuring compliance with Organisational standards and relevant legislation.

We have an excellent opportunity within the Procurement and Supplies team at North Tees and Hartlepool Solutions for the position of Procurement Support Officer. This exciting opportunity offers agile working within a dynamic team environment; a staff bonus scheme; option to access staff salary sacrifice scheme; onsite parking available and development and training opportunities in Customer Service or CIPS Level 3.

Main duties of the job
  • Undertake lead role in processing of requisitions within the e-purchasing system, with a target to eliminating the requirement for Non Catalogue Items
  • Checking the electronic catalogues within the s-purchasing system are up-to-date
  • Checking price, as required, by liaising with the appropriate Senior Procurement Officer/Contracts Manager, or by obtaining pricing information directly from the supplier
